Karachi 2nd March 2012 – Dawood Global Foundation hosted a press conference to officially announce the 4th LADIESFUND Women’s Awards to be held at Mohatta Palace Museum on 15th March, 2012 where 200 of the most dynamic and inspiring women in Pakistan will be in attendance including internationally acclaimed Pakistani women.
This event is sponsored by Dawood Capital Management Ltd., KHUSHHALIBANK, Nokia Pakistan, and many other companies and brands. There will also be a nod to the Oscars and a tribute to those amazing women who have passed away this year.LADIESFUND® was established in 2007 as an initiative to provide financial security to women and to promote and train women entrepreneurs. It aims to integrate the entrepreneurial needs based on the economic and social aspects of the local communities, with respect to greater women participation in the workforce. The 2012 Award categories are Lifetime Achievement (with consultation of the Judges), Woman of the Year (People’s Choice Award), Momentum (judged), Trailblazer (judged) and KHUSHHALIBANK Idol (judged). There are also three scholarships to Iqra University that will be presented.
