Sania Maskatiya Collection & Maybelline New York Make Up Trends Show at FPW 2014

Indeed the Maybelline New York Trend Show drew inspiration from three specific eras within the past 100 years of which Sania Maskatiya’s capsule collection paid homage to trends for the current/futuristic era.

Speaking on her collaboration with Maybelline and the collection her team will be showcasing, Sania Maskatiya has said: “I’m delighted to have worked with Maybelline New York and hope that this partnership is the first of many. In celebration of 100 years of evolution of beauty worldwide, my collection laid emphasis on bold cuts and prints to visually portray how beauty and fashion saw a transition through the ages. We showcased diverse colors juxtaposed with black and white, as is our design houses’ signature style.

This was Sania Maskatiya’s second collaborative capsule collection in 2014, which marked the brands third anniversary year, and followed their January campaign where the brand introduced scarves designed specifically for retail in partnership with the regions’ leading textile group, Gul Ahmed, in honour and support of Pakistan’s pioneering anti–blindness NGO, the Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust [LRBT].

I am thrilled to be associated with Maybelline and to have the opportunity to create looks through make up, from three different eras; vintage / classic, 70’s retro, futuristic; all these looks blended with my unique signature style…” said Raana Khan, Maybelline’s Make-up Artist of the year on the trend show 2014.

Maybelline New York introduced their revolutionary Baby Lips last month in Pakistan in transparent, red and pink shades. The Maybelline Trend Show 2014 was staged live at Fashion Pakistan Week 6 Spring/Summer 2014 on February 20 2014.
