  • What You’ll Be Needing?
  • Nail polish remover
  • Nail cutter and filer
  • A tub for soak
  • Salt
  • Mild shampoo
  • Essential oil
  • Cuticle cream
  • Cuticle pusher
  • Foot scrubber
  • Foot scrubbing gel
  • Foot cream

Step 1: Remove the nail polish

Remove the nail polish from the toenails, cut your nails and push the cuticles back using the cuticle pusher. Use an acetone-free nail paint remover to get rid of the nail paint. Cutting the long toenails will help you cleaning your feet better. Apply a cuticle cream on your nails to soften them. Push the cuticles back using a cuticle pusher gently.

Step 2: Fill the Tub with Warm Water and Soak Your Feet

Fill the tub with lukewarm water. Add some Epsom salt to it. Soak your feet in the water for 5 minutes. It will remove all the impurities from your feet. It will also reduce any swelling in your feet. Add some baby shampoo to the water and then again soak your feet in it. Scrub your feet gently using a soft brush. Brush your heels properly to get rid of the dead skin cells. Remove the dirt from the toenails using the pedicure tool. You can also drop a few drops of peppermint oil to the soak to reduce tiredness.

Step 3: Exfoliate the Feet

Use the exfoliating scrubs available in the market. If not available, then you can use a rice powder paste to scrub your feet. You can also use a pumice stone to scrub the dead skin off the feet. Soak your feet in the water again after scrubbing. Remove the feet from water and wipe it using a clean towel.

Step 4: Massaging Your Feet

Use a hydrating cream to massage your feet. You can add a few drops of lemon juice to your foot cream. Lemon juice will get rid of the tanning on the feet. You can also prep your feet for the foot cream by rubbing a slice of lemon on your feet. Give a 10-minute massage to your feet.

Step 5: Finishing Touch

File your nails gently. Apply a suitable nail polish over them. You can wait half an hour before applying nail paint so that your toenails breathe some fresh air.
