A lip scrub is one of the key elements in helping chapped lips. It helps get rid of dead skin and penetrates and re balances the lipid layer.
However, it is important to remember to hydrate efficiently after the use of a lip scrub, as this proves to be the best form of anti-aging care for the lips. It is not necessary to purchase expensive or costly lip scrubs to produce the best possible results. In fact, this can be achieved from the comfort of your own home.
So, today we will be telling you how to make your own lip scrub with ONLY 3 INGREDIENTS. These being the following:
- Honey
- Sugar (brown or white)
- Coconut oil
The measurements of each depends on the quantity of scrub you want, but the general idea is to mix all the ingredients together. Personally, I prefer using 1 table spoon of each ingredient and then thoroughly mixing them together until a nice and even paste in made. These ingredients have been selected very carefully, keeping their effects and certain properties in mind. Honey is naturally antibacterial, hence, making it great for dry lips that have been caused due to any microbes.
Overall, it deeply hydrates, nourishes, soothes and lubricates the skin. While, sugar's small particles make an excellent topical exfoliate and are used to exfoliate dead surface skin cells and reveal the healthy-looking skin underneath. Coconut oil helps to trap the moisture within the lips, keeping them moisturized as well as helping in healing wounds.
