Islamabad Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2012 – 2nd Edition

The 2nd Edition of Islamabad Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2012 is slated to take place from March 1 to 4, 2012 at the Marriott Hotel, Islamabad.

The Fashion Week is organized by Excellent Event & Entertainment (Triple-E) in association with the International Pakistan Fashion Council (IPFC); World Fashion Organization (WFO) and Europa Regina with support from the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).

The Creative Consultant for the event is veteran hair & make-up stylist Tariq Amin and the choreographer is veteran, Imran Kureishi. Leading models including Iraj Manzoor, Ayyan, Sunita Marshall, Rabia Butt, Nooray Bhatty, Amna ilyas, Konain, Maha, Zeba Ali, Hira Tareen and others as well as male models from the 1st Edition of Islamabad Fashion Week will participate.

This year the IPFC has hired International Fashion Consultant: Margaret Rushe Farrell from Australia who will be holding workshops for participating designers prior to the Fashion Week, so as to acclimatize them about how to strategize and produce garments up to international standards and how to prepare logistically while showcasing at international fashion week venues.

This time Islamabad Fashion Week has invited 35 visiting Buyers from Europe, Ireland, Australia and the United States amongst other countries who have all kindly agreed to attend. International Press will include representatives from CNN, BBC, Voice of America, Xinua, Reuters, AFP, APP amongst others including freelance fashion journalists from India, Italy and the US and the UK as well as representatives from leading Pakistani  news agencies and publications.

28 collections will be showcased over the four day period averaging 7 shows per day which will conclude with an after party hosted by Fashion Television.(FTV)

We are also delighted and thrilled  with the participation of five extremely individualistic and distinctive international designers from as far afield as Malaysia, Bangladesh, Western Australia, Ireland and a collection from international fashion conglomerate Fashion Television who are showcasing their ‘I love fashion’ capsule for the first time at a Pakistani fashion week venue.”

FTV ‘I LOVE FASHION’ (INTERNATIONAL). This is the first time FTV is bringing their collection I LOVE FASHION’ to showcase at a fashion week in Pakistan.
