The latest collection by Saira Rizwan titled “Tez Woman” is based on Moroccan prints, and has been inspired by Morocco’s unique mix of Islamic and European cultures, intricate craftsmanship and the innate warmth which is intrinsic to Moroccan culture and traditions.
Morocco is a land of vivid contrasts. The gateway to two continents, it is a country of spectacular landscapes, rich in history, and heady with sumptuous scents and breathtaking sights. While the countryside is home to ancient traditions and diverse peoples, the ever – growing urban centers boast incredible new architecture alongside the old, and activities to suit all modern tastes.
Saira Rizwan, known for her intricate design sensibility and her extensive attention to detail, shot to fame when she launched her Jahan collection at Bridal Couture Week last year, which was a huge hit with the audience and the critics alike.
“The Jahan collection was truly one of my most spectacular collections ever, and was based on one of the most prominent Mughal empresses ever. The collection was based on intricate and detailed embellishments, and a neutral and muted color palette,” said the designer.
Her new collection which has especially been designed for this Eid is based on Morocco, and is being showcased for the first time at The Designers multi-designer store in Dubai, located at F-109 Red Diamond Building JLT Dubai. The red carpet is on 8th August from 9 pm onwards.
“We are very excited about the upcoming fashion fiesta happening at our Dubai store and look forward to having more such events at our Dubai store,” said Asad Tareen, the CEO of The Designers multibrand store, who is considered to be the god of fashion retail.
Saira Rizwan’s latest collection amalgamates a mix of contemporary and traditional etiquette in a color scheme of greens and blues.
Multiple designers are showcasing at The Designers multi-brand store in Dubai including Rizwan Beyg, Mehdi, Karma and many others. The 4,000 square feet Dubai store is done up in an orange and white theme, and exhibits many of Pakistan’s top designers. The Dubai store is the first multi-designer store from Pakistan to move into the UAE market.
Saira Rizwan says that modern, confident and elegant women will be attracted to her collection which is based on a lot of drapery and fluidity.
When asked about the upcoming exhibition, Saira Rizwan said: “This collection has had a tremendous response in Pakistan, which is why I am really excited about taking it to Dubai. Though I have a lot of clients in Dubai and receive a good number of orders from there, I haven’t exhibited there in recent times.”
