Depilex Beauty Clinic and Institute officially announced its new status as the first City & Guilds training Centre in Hairdressing & Beauty, in Pakistan, at a media event held at its premises on Saturday, 1st December 2012. The event was also attended by the City & Guilds team from Pakistan and Sri Lanka, who in addition to speaking about the collaboration, gave out certificates to the Depilex team of women, who visited Sri Lanka earlier on, in order to receive training.
It was Nighat & Redah Misbahof Depilex, who were initially invited to Colombo in May 2012 to receive training from the City & Guilds examination board. This instantly put Depilexin the running for being a City & Guilds training center. A team of 6, headed by Masarrat Misbah, made their way to Sri Lanka to receive additional qualification in September 2012 – to further enhance and improve their skills – in order for Depilex to officially be the first City & Guilds training Centrein Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy, in Pakistan, in December 2012.
“The City & Guilds team from Sri Lanka came especially to Pakistan to award Depilex with the certificates of trainers who received training in Sri Lanka and to officially announce that Depilex is a City & Guilds Training Centre at the media event – we were very happy to welcome them here”, explained Redah Misbah, director and head creative stylist at Depilex.
Depilex considers itself to be the most recognized brand in the field of beauty therapy, cosmetology and hair sciences, with over 32 years of experience and over 32 centers nationwide, making it the largest chain of salons in Pakistan. Depilex Institute is equipped with internationally qualified staff and is the only beauty institute in Pakistan that has foreign affiliations with the likes of The British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology, and City of Sunderland College in the United Kingdom.
City & Guilds was founded in 1878 to establish a national system of technical education. They’ve come a long way since they were founded 130 years ago. Today the City & Guilds Group is UK’s leading vocational awarding organization. They employ over 1000 people and award 1.9 million certificates every year, making the organization’s worldwide presence very strong. City & Guilds is globally recognized in many fields.
Depilex’s new status will of course prove to be of paramount advantage to Depilex locally, as well as globally, establishing them as the only internationally qualified Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy training centre in Pakistan, with a highly trained and competent staff.
