Speaking about the current miserable form of Pakistani team, Captain Misbah said, “We are not having a good time in ODIs but Pakistan Team is always associated with the fact that whenever we are going just like that [we can pull off a surprise when people least expect us to.] This team is capable of just turning around, and I’m excited about this team. It has a bunch of youngsters with few seniors in the side. We could surprise anyone at any stage. I will be look really hopeful that we are going to improve our performances and we are here to play are best cricket.”
Pakistani batsman Sohaib Maqsood expressed his views over Pakistan’s chances in World Cup 2015. He said, “We have entered the tournament with good preparations. We have not won enough games, but have put in lot of efforts. We have been working really hard for the last two weeks in New Zealand. We have been here for last 3-4 days and inshallah the results will come good. I think the things are happening the same way like 1992 but you still need to put in the hard work and take it game by game and only if we work hard, the results will come.”
Pakistan’s enigmatic all-rounder Shahid Afridi spoke about being inspired as ‘senior player’ with this world cup being imperative for him and his nation.
