Sadaf has been involved in the fashion design business for 20 years now. She has taken her time to cultivate her signature look through rich Resham work and intimate Dabka art. She is primarily self taught and is credited with having started trend towards the ancient vasli & Cutwork from Faisalabad.
Design Philosophy
Sadaf’s design philosophy is based on the fact that ‘Clothes are an imperfect extension of ones personality’. Our traditions, cultural heritage, textile of Faisalabad and warmth of Lahore have been an inspiration for her.
She has made a mark on the fashion industry using unusual fabrics, ‘fusion’ of styles, texturing and detailing, ‘cut-work’ with embellishments in vibrant colors. She has moved between stunningly crafted bridal wear and perfectly structured semi-formal & casual wear. Her unique contribution is the use of indigenous methods of gotawork, block printing and hand dying, amalgamating it with the modern cuts and mixture of western designs.
