Sajal Ali announced her engagement with boyfriend Ahad Raza Mir on her social media handle. Sajal, who is a well-known actress in Pakistan, made her Bollywood debut with superstar Sridevi in the 2017 thriller film Mom. The film, which also stars Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, marked Sridevi’s 300th, and final major film appearance before her death. Sajal Ali was applauded for her powerful performance as Sridevi’s daughter.
Love birds Sajal and Ahad are adored by the audience and are one of the most loved on-screen pairs of Pakistani TV industry. They met on the sets of the show Yaqeen Ka Safar two years ago. The soap opera, based on Farhat Ishtiaq’s novel Woh Yakeen Ka Naya Safar, follows the journey of Zubia Khalil, played by Sajal, who falls in love with Dr Asfandyar, played by Ahad. The show also focuses on common issues depicting violence against women, pitfall of the justice system, and political disaffection.
Sharing the news with her fans and followers on social media, the gorgeous actress wrote: “Here’s to new beginnings. Today we are happy to announce that with the blessings of our families we are officially engaged. Our special day will be even more special with the love and prayers of our family, friends and fans. Sajal & Ahad.”
