Yeh Mera Dil
Starring Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir in lead roles, Yeh Mera Dil is going to be the first drama serial where this real-life couple is pairing up to play a reel-life couple after their engagement (except Aangan where the two ended up together in the end). Adnan Siddiqui and Mira Sethi are playing Sajal’s parents, while Zarnish Khan is playing Ahad’s mother in the play. The cast also includes Farhan Aly Agha, Rabia Butt, Natasha Hussain and others. Three more teasers of the play are out and they paint a very different picture. Shrouded in mysteries, we see two sides of both the leading characters; one where Ahad is playing a jaunty employer of a girl-next-door Sajal, and the other where the couple appears disturbed by their past. The romantic thriller looks interesting and we’re excited. The initial promos of the drama have received backlash on social media, sparking a debate about allegedly romanticizing workplace harassment. However, writer Farhat Ishtiaq refuted all such rumors and responded that “she will never romanticize rape, sexual harassment and misogyny.”
