The ever remembered love story is of the ex-couple Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan. Their fans were happy to see them together . But have you ever imagine that how it all started ? All the ups and downs and finally that heartbreaking ending of this beautiful relationship took place ?
The love angle between Aish and Salman started during the shooting of the movie ‘ Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999)‘ under the direction of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The magic between the two was awesome to see not only in the movie but also in real life.
Aishwarya seems to be close to Salman’s family and was part of all their family events. Salman’s sisters Arpita and Alvira also became close to her.
But 2 years later, things started ruining between the two. Aishwarya’s family was already against their relationship. Apparently, in November 2001, the sources says that Salman reached Aishwarya’s apartment, He wanted to be sure that if Aishwarya will marry him. He kept on banging the door, asking to be let in.
It is also said that Salman threatened Aishwarya to commit suicide ,if she didn’t let him in. He continued his stubborn behavior for hours till Aishwarya let him in. Many says that his hands were bleeding.
Salman also quoted in an interview that : “If you won’t fight, that means there is no love between you, I will not fight with an outsider; when we fight, it is all because of our love,” After this incident , Salman went to the USA to help his ex-girlfriend, Somy Ali, without informing Ash.
It was then in the year 2002 , when Aishwarya revealed about the breakup of the couple. By this time, Salman was making Aish’s professional life hell. Apparently, he stood up to the sets of movie “Chalte Chalte and tried to drag Aish, who was prior heroine for the movie. Aishwarya also asserted that, he suspected her of having an affair with SRK.
Salman Khan was also involved in the fight between him and SRK and it said that , Salman even held him by the collar. After all this , Aishwarya lost the role, and the film went to Rani Mukherji.
Later, she also said that “Salman’s chapter was the worst” in her life. She also quoted: “He would call me up after the break-up and talk rubbish. He suspected me of having affairs with my co-stars. There were times that he got physical with me, luckily without leaving marks. I would go to work as if nothing had happened,”
The story of the couple was heart wrenching indeed. Nonetheless, both the celebs are shining truly , till date.
