With the exciting and entertaining mood, Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC) is on its way now. From 16th to 20th February 2010, it is introducing new Fashion trends and giving good boost to the Pakistan Fashion Industry. 32 designers from the three big cities of Pakistan, Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad are featuring their designed collection.
At the opening day of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week, eight designers showcased their designed work. The category of opening designers includes Nickie Nina, Sara Shahid of Sublime, Asifa & Nabeel, Ali Xeeshan, YBQ, Body Focus Museum, Elan by Khadijah Shah, and Nida Azwar. Almost all the dresses were fall in the group of Prêt and Formal wear. Different top class models are presenting the creative designing art of the Fashion designers, like Mehreen Syed, Vaneeza Ahmad, Misha Shafi, Huma, Fiza, Humaima Malik, Tooba Siddiqui, Aymi, Amna Ilyas, Ayyan, Kiran Mailk, Noore, Rabia Ahmad, Rabia Butt, Sabina Pasha, Sanam Saeed, Rubya Chaudhry, Neha Ahmad, etc.
The Fashion affair was initiated with the collection of Fashion Friends Nickie Nina; their couture collection was unique in a true sense. The couture collection by Nickie Nina was highly appreciated by the Fashion audience; as it was also presented in a unique way, with the traditional accessories and makeovers. Also, the high beats & rhythms of the music by the over-load band made the scenario worth considerable. Then the Nida Azwar’s collection was modeled by different Fashion models and her Fashion anthology was mostly based on soft colors with delicate work on it. The shiny/bright effect on the light colored dresses, made Nida Azwar’s work special and catchy.
After them, Fashion brand Elan by the Fashion designer Khadija Shah, appeared on the ramp at the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week. Elan’s collection presented a variety of mix-colored outfits in a very striking way. The Fashion assortment of Elan was highly appreciated by the Fashion audience, because of many reasons. Like, it was exactly according to the current & hottest Fashion trends and then the colorful range of dresses made the audience happy. After Elan, Fashion designer Asifa and Nabeel showcased their designed philosophy. Their Fashion collection was quite simple yet elegant, in both light and bright colors. Asifa and Nabeel presented their formal women’s wear, based on chiffons and silks with the fusion silhouettes. Their collection reflected an amalgamation of vibrant embroidery, inspired by the Kelash and Kafiristani aesthetic.
Then, Sublime by Sara Shahid almost with all bright colors enhanced the tempo of the running Fashion affair. Sara Shahid showcased Sublime’s Prêt a Porter women’s wear collection entitled “Color me Sublime”. The Sublime Fashion anthology was mostly based on nice prints and also with the double shaded color scheming. At number 6th, Fashion designer Ali Xeeshan displayed his customary collection almost with archetypal colors and designed work. Couture collection by Ali Xeeshan was entitled as “The Lost Romance by Ali Xeeshan”.
At the second last figure of the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week, Fashion label YQB, Yousuf Bashir Qureshi presented his Fashion collection for both men and women’s wear. YQB anthology was truly conventional with much dazzling colors. The Prêt porter collection of YQB was named as “Holey”. At the end of the Fashion affair, Fashion designer Iman Ahmad with the Brand’s name Body Focus Museum represented the collection. The Prêt a porter Body Focus Museum collection was entitled as “Flights of Fantasy and Escapism”.
The Fashion collection was in limited colors range but it was having very different style cuts and prints, which was really admirable.
