Film legend Dilip Kumar passes away at 98

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar has passed away at the age of 98. He played immortal roles in more than 65 films.

In another era, Yusuf Khan alias Dilip Kumar met Khaliq Haqiqi, who had been undergoing treatment at a Mumbai hospital for a long time, suffering from a respiratory disease. His death was announced on social media by his spokesman Faisal Farooqi.

As soon as he heard this news, millions of his fans all over the world were overwhelmed with grief and sorrow. Yousuf Khan has been hospitalized and discharged several times during the last 6 years due to kidney problems and pneumonia.

He was admitted to the hospital on June 6 with difficulty breathing, where his condition improved with treatment. Doctors also declared his health satisfactory. He was discharged from the hospital on June 11. He was quarantined at home last year due to the Corona lockdown.

The legendary actor was born on December 11, 1922, in the Khudadad neighborhood of Peshawar. He was awarded the Nishan-e-Pakistan by the Government of Pakistan in 1998 and was also awarded the Dada Sahib Phalke, the highest award in Indian cinema. He ruled the film industry for more than 50 years.

He was remembered as the Emperor of Emotions for his touching performances. His famous films include Devdas, Mughal Azam, Ganga Jumna, Ram and Shyam, New Era, Madhumati, Kranti, and Vadhata among others.
