Film and TV heartthrob Imran Abbas who wowed TV audiences playing the lead roles in Alvida, khuda aur muhabat and recently ‘Mera Naam Yousuf Hai‘ which is currently proving a ratings hit on Star TV UK and who just returned from London, after wrapping up shooting for Bollywood director Karan Johar’s upcoming film ‘Ae Dil Mushkil’ has just signed another TV play opposite TV star Aiza Khan who recently won a coveted Best Actress TV award for her role in the über-popular ‘Payaray Afzal’ at the prestigious Lux Style Awards 2015.
The much-awaited play is adapted from the best-selling Urdu novel ‘Tum Kaun Piya‘ by celebrated feminist Urdu novelist Maha Malik who is renowned for her astute retelling of the different phases in women’s lives and the myriad roles women have to play in society of daughter sister wife and mother and of women’s nurturing natures in keeping families intact.
The play is to be directed by veteran Yasir Nawaz.
It seems TV audiences should get ready for another entertaining and successful emotional roller-coaster ride and anticipate a scintillating on-screen chemistry between the gorgeously photogenic co-stars!
