Mahira Khan Reveals Her Fears About Intimate Scene with Shah Rukh Khan

Mahira Khan, a Bollywood debutante who starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Raees, recently spoke candidly about her time filming love scenes with the Kal Ho Naa Ho actor. Despite their on-screen connection, Mahira Khan was first reluctant to participate in the intimate parts of the song Zaalima, particularly given her “no kissing rule.”

In the podcast, All About Movies hosted by Anupama Chopra, Mahira reportedly acknowledged that she intended to set certain limits when shooting the song Zaalima and avoid doing anything “objectionable.” She said, “I was scared ke ‘kuch zyada na ho jaaye (we don’t cross the line)’ because I didn’t want to do anything that’s objectionable.” She continued by saying that Shah Rukh had taunted her about it and that everyone else on the site had made fun of her for it.

“Don’t try to kiss me. I used to say, “You can’t do this because you can’t kiss me here.” Naturally, he used to think it was funny as well. He would tease me by saying, ‘I’m not sure what we have to do in the next scene,'” she said, adding that despite all of her concerns and restrictions, the cast and crew chose a kiss that was comfortable for both of them.

Mahira chuckled as she recalled: “We didn’t know what to do in the hook step of Zaalima, and it became a joke that since nothing else can happen, they should go for nose-to-nose kissing.” Shah Rukh Khan just makes a slight nose gesture throughout the whole song, if you pay careful attention. Will this be okay, he asked. Is everything well with you? And I was like, ‘What do you know?’ in my heart,” she moaned.

The Legend of Maula Jatt actress said that she was originally skeptical but later warmed to the notion. “My first movie was Raees, and I was shy. Although I had no idea how it operated, everything turned out well, she remarked. It’s now just a pleasant recollection.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Rahul Dholakia both appeared in the film Raees. The movie was a financial success, and people continue to enjoy the song Zaalima.
