Pakistani actor Mehwish Hayat will be awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (medal of excellence) by the president of Pakistan Arif Alvi on the eve of Pakistan Republic day.
Medal of excellence is fourth-highest decoration given to any civilian in Pakistan based on their achievements. Individuals belonging to different fields of life are awarded civil award for their services to the country.
Known by her leading role in Jawani Phir Nahi Ani (2015), Mehwish Hayat is one of the most sought-after actresses in the country. Mehwish has also starred in the popular TV drama Dillagi and movies Actor in Law and blockbuster hit, Punjab Nahi Jaungi.
Earlier, she won best actress award in International Film Festival in Pakistan (PIFF) for Actor in Law. Furthermore, Reema Khan, Shabbir Jan, Babra Sharif and comedian Iftikhar Thakur have also been selected to receive awards on March 23, 2019.
So Mehwish Hayat is going to receive " Tamgha e Imtiaz " on 23rd March from the President. Would I be wrong to say that ASP Suhai Aziz Talpur who lead the Operation Against terrorists who Attacked Karachi Chinese Consulate in November last year was more deserving for this Award ?

@ArifAlvi WT*? Tamgha-i-Imtiaz for @MehwishHayat ? What for? Is she performing 'main hon billi' on 23rd March? Tamgha-i-Imtiaz was never been this cheap. P.S: I'm PTI voter.
