The much awaited PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week Day 2 kicked off on April 19 in Lahore. Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC) showcased trends for 2015 with a special focus on fashion for the coming sizzling summers.
Day-2 marked the second segment of the afternoon with designer prét-a-porter showcases by Muse, Saira*Shakira, Nida Azwer Atelier, Teena by Hina Butt and Zara Shahjahan later in the evening.
The 3rd fashion presentation was made by Nida Azwer. After showcasing the “French Trellis Collection” at Telenor Fashion Pakistan Week 2015, the Nida Azwer Atelier revealed latest trendiest PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2015 with their Luxury/Prêt “The Iznik Collection”, showcasing on Sunday, 19th April 2015.
Nida Azwer Atelier Presented Iznik and Persian ceramic patterns on Day 2 at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion week Expo Center, Lahore. Nida Azwer PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2015 collection drew inspiration from Iznik and Persian ceramic patterns; “The Iznik Collection” welcomes a summer aesthetic full of florals and geometric elements.
“The Iznik Collection” also embraces the use of animal motifs such as vintage birds, deer, swan, butterflies that are seen in Persian pottery based in hues of blue and teal. The refreshing shades with hints of saffron and are embellished with fine silk thread work, crystal and zardozi in luxe fabrics. The flowing and shiny fabrics like silks, cotton net and net. Structured construction across summer jackets, pants and tops along with flowy silhouettes were simply glitzy and glamorous.
Nida Azwer, Creative Director at the Nida Azwer Atelier said about her PFDC Sunsilk 2015 The Iznik Collection, “In line with our focus on the revival of traditional art and craft through our work, The Iznik Collection is another endeavor to highlight and promote indigenous artisanship and design elements within a modern context. This collection is based in a vibrant colour palette, a marked change from our recent collection showcase at TFPW. It has always has been a memorable experience participating at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week and we look forward to our showcase this year in Lahore.”
PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2015 is being styled by the creative teams at Nabila’s and NGENTS. Light design, set design, sound engineering, video packaging, choreography and show production from concept to construction is by HSY Events.
