Panasonic has a couple of digital cameras available up their sleeves for the compact digital camera market, where they will come in the form of the LUMIX DMC-ZS10 and ZS8. First of all, the LUMIX ZS10 will remain as versatile as its predecessor, boasting a 24mm ultra-wide-angle as well as a powerful 16x optical zoom LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens. Apart from that, it also sports full-High Definition 1920 x 1080 video recording capability that captures all those defining moments in your life for all time in High Definition.
Apart from that, it also sports a generous 3″ Smart Touch Intelligent LCD display which paves the way for Touch Zoom, Touch Auto Focus (AF), Touch Shutter, and Touch Playback. Is your memory failing you? Let the lack of memory enhancing pills and herbs be damned – the LUMIX ZS10 is smart enough to geotag all of your photos and videos thanks to an integrated GPS function, letting geotagged images be pinpointed via online maps which are subsequently shared with friends and families.
Apart from that, you will also be able to enjoy new Panasonic 3D Photo mode that is a staple with the ZS10, allowing you to capture realistic 3D photos simply be snapping 20 consecutive photos and overlaying the two best images, resulting in a 3D image which can then be viewed over a Panasonic (obviously) VIERA 3D HDTV. We’re not too sure whether this image will work with other devices from various manufacturers, but at least you can make more use of that 3D glasses which has been gathering dust for quite a while.
You can not only view it over your 3DTV, but do so also over other MPO-compatible equipment such as TVs, digital photo frame and printers. Panasonic has also thrown into the mix the LUMIX Image Uploader which paves the way for seamless and instant sharing via Facebook where digital photos are concerned, while YouTube will obviously take care of the video side of things.
The LUMIX DMC-ZS8 whimpers in with a versatile 24mm ultra-wide angle and powerful 16x optical zoom LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens, amongst other features. Expect both the LUMIX ZS10 and ZS8 to hit the markets this March, and while we do not yet have a price point for either device, we will have to wait until next month for further details. All the better for you to start saving up, eh?
