This shoot concentrates more on chiffons and satin prints as used all forms of embroidery that includes kaamdaani and mukesh as well as hand embroidery that gives the western styles a more eastern touch.
This being the first collection is more inspired by designs by Sana Safinaz and Kamiar Rokhni because of their emphasis on the balance of color. Today’s modern silhouettes that include flowing peshwazes, A-lineshirts and multi layered dresses are experimented with in this collection. The use of satin and bows as well as butterfly motifs and pop art style roses was inspired by the Tv series Gossip Girl, a show which features a very edgy, urban yet feminine style of attire that goes very well with Karachi’s clientele if translated properly into eastern wear, something which we have endeavored for in our work.
